The Nokia N79 was officially announced by Nokia on 26th August 2008. The Nokia N79 is a new smart phone that adds to their Nseries Multimedia Phone. The Nokia N79 focuses more on lifestyle than the Nokia N8x series and N9x series. It has easily customizable housing and will include 2 Xpress-on covers in the retail package (slogan – Colorful and Powerful). The colours available for the Xpress-on covers are White, Olive Green, Coral Red, Light Sea Blue, and Espresso Brown with the main body colour-Seal Grey or Canvas White. The Nokia N79 will run on Symbian OS version 9.3 based S60 3rd edition, Feature Pack 2.
This Nokia N79 has 2.4inch LCD screen that support 16m color in QVGA resolution(320×240 pixels). It will also come with a Naviwheel that first appeared on the N81. Other than that it is 5MP auto focus camera with Carl Zeiss Optics Tessar™ lens and Dual LED Flash. Something special about N79 is that it has a built in FM Transmitter just like N78. It also comes with GPS with A-GPS and Accelerometer.
